Over the last four years, the prices of most goods and services have gone through the roof.Â
This includes commercial airline travel, which has become more expensive than ever before.Â
And travelers to Florida were stunned after airport officials made this grim discovery.
Airport workers at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport made a discovery they will not soon forgetÂ
Airline travel has become nearly unaffordable over the last four years, yet more Americans rely on commercial airlines than ever before.Â
Meanwhile, airlines have cut many of their services and perks, often skimping on in-flight accommodations and airline miles.Â
This has forced many to either not travel, find alternative means of traveling, or resort to desperate tactics to get from point A to point B.Â
Late last Monday, for example, employees at the ever-busy Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport discovered two dead bodies inside the landing gear of a JetBlue plane.Â
This plane had just gotten in from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport, after an approximately three-hour flight.Â
Officials believe that these two people were most likely stowaways, given that stowaways often hide in landing gear.Â
However, hiding in landing gear, even for short distances often results in death due to a lack of oxygen and the freezing temperatures found at high altitudes.Â
JetBlue has since released a statement on the matter, simply stating, “At this time, the identities of the individuals and the circumstances surrounding how they accessed the aircraft remain under investigation.”
This gruesome discovery comes soon after a Russian woman made headlines for attempting to stowaway on a Delta flight from New York City to Paris.Â
The woman, later identified as 57-year-old Svetlana Dali, managed to slip past several layers of security and hid inside the airplane’s bathroom.Â
A flight attendant eventually caught the woman, and authorities in Paris ultimately arrested her.Â
Soon after French authorities released Dali, the notorious stowaway tried to pull her stunt off again, attempting illegally to board a flight from Paris back to New York City.Â
These major security breaches have American airline passengers on red alert, fearing that an awful attack could happen any day now, given that Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officials clearly neglected to do their jobs.Â
The TSA has been under fire for years, given the burdensome checks and regulations they impose on airline travelers, violating their constitutional rights that protect them from unwarranted searches and seizures.Â
Meanwhile, people breach the TSA regularly, making many Americans wonder why they take their shoes off every time they hop on a plane.Â
Recent stowaway attempts further demonstrate the futility of the TSAÂ
Following the devastating Islamic terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001, lawmakers established the TSA with the hopes of preventing another terrorist attack.Â
Although nothing like 9/11 has happened since, people regularly manage to slip past the TSA, as law-abiding citizens are harassed for oversized toothpaste tubes.Â
Many Americans would agree that the TSA does little to nothing to improve safety, especially given that they violate the Constitution in the process.Â
